Poor performance?

Due to shenanigans under the hood on how Game Maker (Studio) used to work, all of my older projects (pre GMS2 basically) might run like hot garbage on updated Windows 10/11 systems. Fortunately, people who know stuff wrote a fancy .dll you can slide right into the game's executable directory, fixing the issue! Here's the link:

Grave

Where dying projects get put down for good. For some reason or another, it's not always meant to be. Unlike entities made of flesh, these can be interacted with on the same state they were last compiled in. Then again, things are cast away deliberately for a reason.

Metal Angels

January 2020
Overdesigned, overambitious, clunky, and dragged down by some very questionable design choices, horrible synthesized voice samples being one of them. At least I made my first forays into the spooky worlds of delta timing and level (well, enemy) editors. Can still provide a semblance of catharsis when the enemies align just right and you send all their firepower back at them.

Nuclear Moss

January 2019
Fast-paced, frantic action meets limited player agency scope, where there really isn't much to be done asides from kiting hordes of enemies and wait for cool downs (doesn't that describe way too many games?). Cute fun quick simple romp that was ditched due to lack of interest.

project:embraced

March 2017
A weird combo of wanting to create a tight, momentum-based platforming-shooter-multiplayer extravaganza fueled by an infatuation of Duck Game and an obscure Japanese indie game is the seed to this one. You can play with up to four people on a couple maps and a handful of weapons as you fight the game's design jank more than one another!
